Hey, Erick here with Barrett to compare cultures at the ethnological museum. First, let’s compare the culture shown in the museum. One of the first things we noticed was that there is so many different cultures in Bangladesh as well as ethnic groups. They all seemed so different from what our culture was so we decided it would make sense to compare them. We decided to ask someone who works there to help us out, his name was Abdul. By the way if you are seeing this thank you Abdul!

One of the first facts that Abdul gave us was that a good number of people don’t have nuclear families, instead, they have a Barhi family structure. It is made up of husbands, wives, married sons, and their children, but more recently people have been having nuclear families. He said that people in Bangladesh must ask their parent's permission for any big decisions but once again people more recently people have been going away from that and having a more independent life.
