We are having lots of fun at the museum today. We went to the agriculture exhibit. We saw so many cool things and learned a lot of new things. Like those common plants farmed are rice, wheat, corn, and many other fruits and vegetables. And farming is the main industry in Bangladesh. I would say that the plant with the most profit is rice. Because it is such a staple meal in Bangladesh it has made trillions of dollars.

Even with all the good profits farmers are still struggling to secure fair prices for their produce, because of the surplus in grain products, and with no overseas deals in sight since the country lifted an export ban in May to support the market. And the Monsoon season on top of that which has killed at least 108 people affected more than 6 million people in Bangladesh and damaged other crops, mostly in the northern region. The Monsoon season is a very hard season for farmers because of the damage to their crops. But overall, it does not impact the overall rice stock.

And when we were done looking around the museum we went to the gift shop. We walked around and saw that there was a henna shop, so we got our henna done.

Another thing we did is after the museum we went to a rice field, one of the tour guides told us some other information about boring stock market stuff. Also, how big the rice stock is is that the monsoon season doesn’t really affect the stock. So, the rice farmers are kind of being ignored and overlooked.
